We're on the edge of somethin'
Don't know what it is
Been a long time comin'
And I'm hopin' this
Is gonna be a new chapter
In a golden age
And we're all gonna get to
Turn the pages
I, I, I, I am here
And so are you
Let's get together
And see what we can move
I, I, I, I am here
And so are you
Let's come together and
Walk into this time of truth
In the air around us
I can feel the change
People looking inside
In a different way
It's a time of progress
In a time of hope
Wanna live it out loud and
Sing from my soul
I, I, I, I am here
And so are you
Let's get together
And see what we can move
I, I, I, I am here
And so are you
Let's come together and
Walk into this time of truth
I, I, I, I am here
And so are you
Let's get together
And see what we can move
I, I, I, I am here
And so are you
Let's come together and
Walk into this time of
I, I, I, I am here
And so are you
Let's get together
And see what we can move
I, I, I, I am here
And so are you
Let's come together and
Walk into this time of truth
Let's come together
Let's come together now
Let's come together and
Walk into this time of truth

This or Something Better

The other day I was talkin' with a good friend of mine
Oh, and things weren't going so well in my life at the time
He said let me tell you a little something that might help you along your way, yea...
He said take a pencil and paper and write down exactly what you want
And put it on your refrigerator when you get home
Well I thought it sounded foolish
But I did it anyway
And then thirty days later when the bills came due
I said hey man you know there ain't nothin' comin' through
And when I told him what I wrote
He just smiled and shook his head
And then he laughed out loud at the words that I read
I said
Give me everything I want
Give me everything I need
Give me everything in this life
That's comin' to me
He said you forgot to add one thing
Write this down in big red letters:
"Give me this or something better"
I was working in Minneapolis sellin' someone else's dreams
But I always knew there was somethin' so much bigger meant for me
Had a house in Santa Fe and I was fine
Till the renters all moved out
And it started goin' south
So I left Minnesota on a cold January night
Bettin' on myself that I was doing somethin' right
And when I got back to New Mexico I must admit I had my doubts, Mmmm
But I'll be damned if everything he told me wasn't comin' true
That if you write it down, your dreams will find a way to get to you
And now here I am, I'm makin' it and things are going right
I guess it goes to show you all you gotta do is write
Give me everything I want
Give me everything I need
Give me everything in this life
That's comin' to me
Cause it'll all come true
If you write down in big red letters:
"Give me this or something better"
Give me everything I want (breakdown)
Give me everything I need
Give me everything in this life
That's comin' to me
Cause it'll all come true
If you write it down in big red letters:
"Give me this or something better"
Oh, give me everything I want
Give me everything I need
Give me everything in this life
That's comin' to me
Cause it'll all come true
If you write it down in big red letters:
"Give me this or something better"
"Give me this or something better"
Yea

The Revolution

I know you feel it
I feel it too, ooh...
Time is revealing
The dawn of somethin’ new
Something new
We're all in motion
No turning back, ack...
We're on our way now
To a better place in time
A universal mind
We're opening the truth
And all we gotta do...
We gotta raise our vibration
To a higher frequency
So that we can be in harmony with all
We gotta rise up, gotta wake up
The consciousness within
Cause it's time for the revolution to begin
The revolution
Look all around you
Hope everywhere, ere…
People are changin'
From what they used to be
To a new reality
That's coming into light
Everybody don't you realize?
We gotta raise our vibration
To a higher frequency
So that we can be in harmony with all
We gotta rise up, gotta wake up
The consciousness within
Cause it's time for the revolution, once again
Yea…the revolution
All of the wars and the battles will end
We will be free as the children again
All it would take is to reach down and
Find all the love that's within
We gotta raise our vibration
To a higher frequency
So that we can be in harmony with all
We gotta rise up, gotta wake up
The consciousness within
Cause it's time for the revolution
Yeaaa
The new world revolution
It's time for the revolution, once again
The Revolution
It’s time for the revolution
The Revolution

Getting Past The Past

I was at my own prosecution
Ready to pay for
The fact I wasn't more
Than what I'd been
For non-existent sins
I locked myself in
For never giving myself the permission
To be more than I could
It was simply understood
That I was less
Than all the rest
Oh, but I was wrong
Cause when you see the truth
That's when you find your place
You see we're all the same
In different ways...
It took a long time to
Get to where I am today
I guess the hardest job, anyone could ever have
Is gettin' past the past
The voices in my head
Were overwhelming
Sayin' what a fool
To think your dreams belong to you
The jury said
From in my head
And so off I was led
But in my cell
There came a revelation
We're much too big for small
And to think that way at all
Is simply wrong
And you're the only one
Who can take yourself back home
Cause when you see the truth
That's when you find your place
You see we're all the same
In different ways
It took a long time to
Get to where I am today
I guess the hardest job, anyone could ever have
Is gettin' past the past
Well I have done my time now
And it's over
These iron bars of shame
Could not reduce or take away
Who I am now
And the power that I hold
And the strength enough to let it show
Cause when you see the truth
That's when you find your place
You see, we're all the same
In so many ways...
It took a long time to
Get to where I am today
I guess the hardest job, anyone could ever have
Is gettin' past the past
Woah…
Woah...

.
So you gave it up on it
Said it wasn't worth it anymore
Said you got tired of banging on the door
The world's just a joke outside
You said as you watched it pass you by
And so you let it make you cold inside
But don't go believin'
All of the voices
Livin' in your head
Sayin' hope is dead
When there's nobody there
When you're all alone
And it’s just you and you
Tryin' to make it through
When there's nobody left
Except the TV set
Open up the shades
And gaze into the light of day
Gaze into the light of day
Tired of the promising
Tired of still waiting in the wings
Tired of the nothin'
Being everything
You say to hell with it
I don't really need this anymore
But that's just the crazy in you ramblin’
It feels like forever
But it's only a moment
That's gonna pass you by
Don't go sleepin’ with a lie
When there's nobody there
When you're all alone
And it’s just you and you
Tryin’ to make it through
When there's nobody left
Except the TV set
Open up the shades
And gaze into the light of day
Gaze into the light of day
When there's nobody there
When you're all alone
And it’s just you and you
Tryin’ to make it through
When there's nobody left
Except the TV set
Open up the shades
Open up the shades
When there's nobody there
When you're all alone
And it’s just you and you
Trying to make it through
When there's nobody left
Except the TV set
Open up the shades
And gaze into the light of day

Living In The Now

Livin' In the Now
© Words and Music by Chris Chickering and Greg Barnhill

Sometimes the self can leave you inwardly blind
We've all been victims, time to time
Don't let your fear delay you
Don't let your ego play you by
Living the future in your mind
Sometimes the guilt can grab you
From out of the night
Creep in and keep you paralyzed
But if you can take control of
All that you know you're made of well
Everything's gonna be alright
Let's make no illusion
There can be no substitution
For being in the moment that you're in
And when you finally wake up
And you wash away the make up
This is where your true life will begin
I found out
Nothin' feels like
Living in the now
This is the universal
Truth that we hold
And it goes unused
Until we know
But when we find the power
This is our finest hour and
That's when our future will unfold
So, let's make no illusion
There can be no substitution
For being in the moment that you're in
And when you finally wake up
And you wash away the make up
This is when your destiny begins
And you find out
Nothin' feels like
Living in the now
It's not too late to turn it all around
Whatever's lost can always still be found
Let's make no illusion
There can be no substitution
For being in the moment that you're in
And when we finally wake up
And we wash away the make up
This is when our destiny begins
And we find out
Nothin' feels like
Living in the now
Living in the now
Oh, you got the present
You got the present now
You got the present now

Our Story
© Words and Music by Chris Chickering and Greg Barnhill

There are stories
We hope will never end
That draw us back again, and again
Like our story
Started out to be
A perfect tragedy
The girl who needed nothing
And the man upon his steed
She was so beautiful
The night her eyes met mine
I must admit that I was blind reason
What is this pedestal
We put love upon?
That sings us like a song
We think it takes us somewhere
Few have ever gone
And hope keeps holdin' on
Hope never will give in
And just about the time you think you're over it
It has a way of reelin’ you back in
There are stories
Crazy shiny of things
Sometimes they are better left for dreams
And in our glory
We lived a thousand lives
And love was free of all condition
But in the morning
Always comes the light of day
Exposes the charade
No matter how we fight it
The truth won't go away
And hope keeps holdin’ on
And hope never will give in
And just about the time you think you've had enough
It doubles back reels you right back in
There are stories
Way beyond our means
Stories that are better left for dreams
Hope keeps holdin’ on
And hope never will give in
Oh and just about the time you think you're over it
It has a way of reelin' you back in
There are stories
Crazy shiny things
Stories that are better left for dreams
Stories that are better left for dreams
Maybe we were better left for dreams

Love-Sick Fool

Never felt the warm sunshine
Till I felt your hand in mine
And oh I, never ever saw the sweet love-light
Till you brought it in one night
And amazed me
Cause you saved me
From the dark and lonely road
Stop at nothin'
For your lovin'
You don't know how far I'd go
For you little darlin
Oh what I'd do
For you little darlin'
I'm a love-sick fool
In the palm of your hand
I'd do anything I can
For you, little darlin...
Yea, yea, yea, yea, yea
Never known a thing like this
You took me down with just one kiss
And oh I, never felt a love so fine
Then you told me it's all mine
And it amazed me
Cause you gave me
Something real worth living for
Make ya happy
If you asked me
I'd be everything and more
For you little darlin’
Oh what I'd do
For you little darlin'
I'm a love-sick fool
In the palm of your hand
I'd do anything I can
For you little darlin'
Yea, yea, yea, yea, yea
For you little darlin
Oh I've played the game
And I've been played
I been round a time or two
But I never thought
I'd be caught
Breaking my own rules
Honey if you only knew...
For you little darlin
Oh what I'd do
For you little darlin'
I'm a love-sick fool
In the palm of your hand
I'd give you all I am
For you little darlin’
Oh what I'd do
For you little darlin'
I'm a love-struck fool
In the palm of your hand
I'd do anything I can
For you yea, yea, yea, yea
Little darlin’
For you yea, yea, yea, yea
Alright

I Believe In You
© Words and Music by Chris Chickering and Greg Barnhill

I believe in you
And all the things you do
And even if you fall sometimes
It won't change my mind
I believe again
Comes around again
And I know we just can't lose
If I believe in you, oooh...
We tear ourselves down
And twist it around
Leavin’ ourselves to fit the blame
We damage our pride
And the soul down inside
Lives in a lonely place
But I'm findin’ out these days
It's me that's gotta change
And so I'm gonna change right now
I'm gonna say it out loud
I believe in you
And all the things you do
And even if you fall sometimes
It won't change my mind
I believe again
Comes around again
And I know, we just can't lose
If I believe in you, oooh...
The ego will say
Hey, push it all away
Failure is all you're gonna find
But the ones who can change
Rise from the shame
They are the ones who cross the line
So goodbye to then
I'm gonna be my own best friend
Don't you think it's time?
Oh, don't you think it's time?
I believe in you
And all the things you do
And even if you fall sometimes
It won't change my mind
I believe again
Comes around again
And I know, we just can't lose
If I believe in you
Goodbye to then
I'm gonna be my own best friend
Don't you think it's time?
Oh you know I think it's time
I believe in you
And all the things you do
And even if you fall sometimes
It won't change my mind
I believe again
Comes around again
And I know we just can't lose
I believe in you
And all the things you do
And even if you fall sometimes
It won't change my mind
I believe again
Comes around again
And I know we just can't lose
If I believe in you
I believe in you
I believe in you

Pain Body

It's just the poison coming out
Everybody's got it
And there ain’t no doubt
It's gonna bear it's teeth every once in a while
And when it does you just breathe deep and smile
Just like a child that needs to be fed
It's the same demon that fills our heads
So when it comes around, don't feel so bad
It's just the wounds that we all have
It's your pain body
I know you're talking with your pain body
And every now and then it's somebody else that slips into our shoes
Ah, don't let 'em go and get to you
It only sees things in black and white
The good and the bad, the wrong or right
And it always seems to find someone else to blame
Got a finger to point, just itchin' for the pain
With no self-responsibility
It's a silent partner that we can't see
Lies in wait to commit it's crime
It's not you that's crossing that line
It's your pain body
I know you're talking with your pain body
And every now and then it's somebody else that slips into our shoes
Don't let 'em go and get to you
Don't let 'em go and get to you
As much as they might want you to
Don't let 'em go and get to you
Cause everybody's packing a
Pain body
I know you're talking with your pain body
And every now and then it's somebody else that slips into our shoes
Ahh, but don't you go and give into your
Pain body
I know you're talking with your pain body
And every now and then it's somebody else that slips into our shoes
Ahh, don't let 'em go and get to you
You’re just talkin’ with your pain body

Gratitude
© Words and Music by Chris Chickering and Greg Barnhill

You slam your finger in the door
But does it hurt now anymore
Than your broken heart
When she said she didn't love you anymore
I bet a bee sting probably hurts
But I know a snake bite's ten times worse
And if one bit you, hey
I bet you'd know the difference right away
So be thankful for
It's just a nick
and not much more
Cause nothin' is anything until
You hold it up to something else
I know the traffic’s just a bore
But it beats walkin' that's for sure
When it's ten below and you're wavin' down
Some stranger you don't know
So get some perspective here
What seems so severe
Depends on what you compare it to
Let's have a little gratitude
Chorus:
And just be thankful for
You got a motor
And four doors
Cause nothin’ is anything until
You hold it up to something else
Don't sweat a bad hair day
Cause after all, you could be bald
A paper cut on your tongue’s
No reason to call 911
So just be thankful for
You got a shot
At one day more
Cause nothin' is anything until
You hold it up to something else
Woah…oh...
You hold it up to something else
Woah…oh...
Be glad that it isn't something else

Run Blindly and Stupidly To Love
© Words and Music by Chris Chickering and Greg Barnhill

Run blindly and stupidly to love
Don't think you can ever have enough
Cause short are the days
Don't block it out. Don't hesitate
Run blindly and stupidly to love
Go wildly and free into the night
Don't worry cause it'll be alright
There's nothing to fear
It's the reason we are here
Run blindly and stupidly to love
Just give in and move towards the light
And let it heal the dark inside
It's warm and it's kind
There's nothing like it you will find
So run blindly and stupidly to love
Run blindly and stupidly to love
Don't wait now
For the moment
Or a reason
To show it
Don't you know you that
The time is now
And it's never
Ever too late
To move past
The barricades
It's up to us to tear 'em down
Tear 'em down
Run blindly and stupidly to love
Don't think you can ever give enough
Cause short are the days
Don't hold it in. No don't you wait
Run blindly and stupidly to love
Yea
Run blindly and stupidly to love
Don't foolishly give your chances up
If you find it somewhere
Be sure to show how much you care
Run blindly and stupidly to love
Run blindly and stupidly to love
Don't think you can ever have enough
Run blindly and stupidly to love

Won't Stop Tryin'
© Words and Music by Chris Chickering and Greg Barnhill

There's somethin' inside of me
That can't leave well enough alone
There's always another mountain to climb
To climb, to climb, to climb
It follows me in my sleep
This hunger to stay in motion
And get to the place I need
To find, to find, to find, to find
In time, in time, in time
I won't stop trying
No matter what's in my way
I won't stop tryin'
Each and every day
I won't stop tryin'
Even if it means
Livin' or dyin'
The fires of hell
I won't stop tryin'
It's more than just wanderlust
It's more like some validation
Something that that says I lived
Alive, alive, alive, alive
And after my dust is gone
And all of my ashes find the wind
They're still be my spirit in
The night, the night, the night, the night
Still tryin', and tryin' and tryin'
Cause, I won't stop trying
No matter what's in my way
I won't stop tryin'
Each and every day
I won't stop tryin'
Even if it means
Livin' or dyin'
The fires of hell
I won't stop tryin'
I guess it's how we were made
I can't excuse it away
We try our best to be satisfied
We just can't settle for less
Than being our very best
Anything else would be a lie
I won't stop tryin’
No matter what's in my way
I won't stop tryin'
Each and every day
I won’t stop tryin’
No matter what's in my way
I won't stop tryin'
Tryin' every day
Oh even if it means
Livin' or dyin'
The fires of hell
I won't stop tryin'
I won't stop tryin'
I won't stop tryin'
Never, never, never
Never, never , never, no

You got the power
All the love inside
Oh and don't you know
Everything’s gonna be alright
You got the power
Yea to override
Any negativity that blocks your light
You got the power
Of a hopeful heart
And you make your happiness
Right where you are
You got the power
Woah…of an open soul
And you let life teach you things
You need to know
Woah…
At times you may be doubtin’ it
Woah…
On a dark and heavy day
Woah…
But the sun is comin’ out and it's
Shouting it out loud to you
Can't you feel it comin’ through?
You got the power
And the love inside
And you're free just like the ocean bird that flies
You got the power, yeah...
To visualize
Anything you want to be here in this life
Woah…
Sometimes you may be doubtin’ it
Woah…
On a dark and heavy day
Woah…
But the sun is comin’ out and it's
Tellin’ you to you to let it flow
And share the love with all you know
You got the power, uh oh
And the love inside
The love inside
Oh and don't you know
Everything’s gonna is be alright
Alright, alright!
Woah…you got the power
Yea to override
All the petty little things
That block your light
La-ey, la-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ight!
Woah…
At times you may be doubtin’ it
Woah…
On a dark and heavy day
Woah…
Don't mind how big the mountain is
Woah…
You climb it every day!
Woah….
At times you may be doubtin’ it
Woah…
On a dark and heavy day
Woah…
But the sun is comin’ out and it's
Shouting it out loud to you
Can't you feel it?
Yes you do!
You got the power
And the love inside
The love inside
And you're free just like the ocean bird that flies
Fli-ies, fli-ah-ah-ah-ies
You got the power
Yea…to visualize
anything you want to be here in this life
Anything you want to be here in this life
You can be anything you want to be here in this life
